Why do you go to a conference? Who do you need to meet? What impression do you need to leave behind? Come and explore and practice small-talk strategies that help you create and sustain the academic relationships you want at conferences (and have more fun doing so!)

Philosopher and linguist; more than 15 years of experience as coach and consultant for critical thinking, effective writing and communication as well as strategies in academic and entrepreneurial settings. Teaching award for his lectures at the University of British Columbia from 1999 to 2003. Work areas: Academic writing, presentations and communication in academic fields.
