Zukunftskolleg Open Door: What Independent and Interdisciplinary Research at an Institute for Advanced Study Looks Like
The Zukunftskolleg is an Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) offering diverse fellowships for postdoctoral researchers from all over the world. Following its 5i-strategy, the Zukunftskolleg provides non-tenured researchers independence for their research, interdisciplinary and intergenerational exchange as well as intra-university integration and international contacts. The Zukunftskolleg opens its door for all postdocs at the university to learn more about its fellowship formats, meet the fellows and exchange about their experiences and projects.

Information Event about Scientific Employment Contracts
This information event aims to provide participants with an understanding of scientific employment contracts. It will cover essential topics such as the legal framework, key components of contracts, rights and responsibilities of both parties, and the implications for career development in academia and research institutions. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with experts in the field, ensuring they leave with valuable insights and practical knowledge to navigate their own employment situations effectively
In this session, we will present opportunities for international research and teaching mobility. These include selected programmes independent of disciplines which are managed by the University of Konstanz’ International Office, opportunities facilitated though our institutional networks, as well as external fellowships and funding options. During the session, our Outgoing Centre will also provide practical guidance on how to carry out your mobility experience, offering guidance on navigating related logistical challenges.
Artificial Intelligence – AI Tools in Research and Teaching
The workshop addresses fundamental questions regarding the use of AI tools such as large-language-models, research assistant tools and learning analytics in the context of teaching and research at universities. Possible uses of current applications, research results and practical experience will be presented and there will be room for dialogue and discussion.
